Well summer is over, my last art market in September was great – Lafayette All Together Now. And now I’m in the thick of prepping for Holiday so I’ve been working on lots of ornaments. I’ve made them the past couple of years and they have been popular, so I’m making them again! This time with more options.
I bought some new fun alcohol ink colors and new ceramic ornaments to experiment painting on a different surface/shape. It is exciting to try something new. I’m loving how they are turning out so far.
I feel like I hadn’t had a good “creating” session in a while but these ornaments have given me some time feeling in the zone, in that flow state us artists are always seeking. It is the cherry on top when what you are creating comes out looking amazing in the end too.
Besides offering my ornaments online, I’m prepping for a Holiday art market (perhaps two) and need to design some Holiday greeting cards as well. Time to get back to it!
